Ti Malik will join us for the 1st session, leading with improv comedy: spontaneous creation that relies on imagination and collaboration. This workshop will guide participants through improv exercises and prompt questions to spark and expand our visions of what can be. Ti Malik Coleman is the facilitator, he is a Baltimore based improv comedian, storyteller and facilitator who has performed and taught improv comedy around the country and internationally.

Ti Malik Coleman is a youth development specialist. As part of his partnership with Family League of Baltimore, he is teaching a series of three professional development workshops. Arts integrated learning uses art as a vehicle to learning academic content. In this workshop, participants will get an overview of arts integrated learning practices and ideas for arts integration in after school academic settings.

The art of adding to a scene! Scene edits (tags, walk ons, scene painting, voice overs etc) should contribute and heighten the main idea or game of a scene. Even advanced improvisers occasionally edit scenes with their idea of funny instead of the scene’s idea of funny. In this workshop we will focus on enriching and advancing scenes in lieu of a wipe or redirect.

Affirming Black Families is a *new* parent education and capacity building program for Black parents and caregivers of LGBTQ youth. The series will feature a monthly virtual workshop to equip Black parents with the community, knowledge and resources to build safe, loving, affirming and celebratory homes for Black queer and trans youth in Baltimore City.
Who should attend? Any adult parent, caregiver or family member interested in receiving support and resources while they do the work to love, affirm and celebrate their LGBTQ kid!
What to expect? A friendly, low-key virtual gathering to share ideas, stories, strategies and strength. Each month will focus on a different topic.
