Ti Malik Coleman (he/him) is a multi-talented individual based in Baltimore, known for his roles as a comedian, teacher, storyteller, improviser, and writer. He is deeply passionate about fostering connections and believes in the power of storytelling and comedy as avenues for healing, community-building, and personal empowerment.
As a seasoned storyteller with over a decade of experience, Ti Malik has graced stages across Baltimore and the DC area, including the prestigious Kennedy Center stage. His storytelling endeavors extend beyond entertainment, as he utilizes this art form to facilitate healing processes, celebrate gender expression, and empower individuals and communities. Ti Malik also offers personalized storytelling coaching, guiding individuals for keynotes, Ted Talks, and various storytelling opportunities.
In the realm of improvisation, Ti Malik is an esteemed teacher and coach, renowned for his ability to nurture talent and foster creativity. He has taught core and advanced classes with esteemed institutions such as the Baltimore Improv Group and Maryland Improv Collective. Ti Malik's expertise extends to corporate settings, where his corporate improv program has helped organizations enhance communication, collaboration, and connection.
In his role as a facilitator and trainer, Ti Malik specializes in creating safe and supportive spaces for groups and organizations to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and embrace conflict resolution. His background in community mediation and transformative justice, coupled with his unique humor, enables him to facilitate meaningful dialogue and growth.
One of Ti Malik's greatest passions lies in working with young people. He serves as a community facilitator for Affirming Black Families, supports LGBTQ youth through various initiatives, and teaches improvisational comedy, storytelling, and theater to students of all ages. As an arts integration specialist, he utilizes theater and improv to enhance academic success and personal development.
Ti Malik is an active member of Transform Gender Collective (TGC), a collective of transmasculine and masculine-of-center BIPOC committed to learning about transformative justice, co-discovering liberatory masculinities, and finding ways to both heal from harm experienced and take accountability for harm caused. He identifies as an abolitionist, advocating for transformative justice and systemic change.
Additionally, Ti Malik is a dedicated member of the Rooted Collective, a liberatory gathering of Black LGBTQ individuals dedicated to healing from oppression and cultivating joy and pleasure. He actively participates in the collective's initiatives and is involved in the production of Rooted Collective's inaugural documentary, "Damn Y'all Fine."
